Wwidower of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto,Begum Nusrat Bhutto, and mother of ex prime minister Benazir Bhutto, passed away in Dubai after protracted illness. Begam Nusrat Bhutto, who was also mother-in-law of president Asif Ali Zardari, was state to be in coma for the last many years.
She was under treatment at a private hospital in Dubai. Besides, being ex-first lady, Ms Bhutto, an Iranian-origin Pakistani, had been a federal minister and chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party after Bhutto’s execution. Begum Nusrat Bhutto was also unaware of her beloved daughter Benazir Bhutto’s tragic death on December 27, 2007. Nusrat Bhutto was born on March 23, 1929 in Esfahan, Iran. She came from the wealthy Hariri Esfahani family in Esfahan, Iran.
